Mr Bruce Mitchell, the CEO and sole founder of SolarGreen (Aust) Pty Ltd, began his career as an electrical mechanic, then moved into air conditioning contracting, then into building and has now launched into the Solar Power industry.

He has won many regional and state awards, the most recent being the 2007 State Award for “Innovation in Environmental Management” for his world-first 100% onsite sustainable Environmental Industrial Park at Stapylton. The Mitchell Environmental Industrial Estate (MEIE) demonstrates that industrial sites can be developed in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner and still show a generous return on investment.

The 10 acre industrial estate is 100% self sufficient and sustainable, meaning it does not rely on council water connections or sewage services even though they available to the site. Public street lights, water pumps and security systems are run by solar power and there are six 45000 litre underground water tanks (Stage 1). Three tanks are used for roof runoff, filtered and used as potable drinking water and three tanks to store water harvest from the roads for irrigation and property maintenance.
